'It is both a blessing and a curse to feel everything so deeply'
Anuket, in Egyptian religion, the patron deity of the Nile River. Anuket is normally depicted as a beautiful woman wearing a crown of reeds and ostrich feathers and accompanied by a gazelle. She was originally a Nubian deity.
Anuket Goddess of Elephantine and Nubia. She is associated with the gazelle and accompanies the ram-headed god Khunam and her sister Satis, with whom she shares many attributes as the goddess of the chase and the flood. Her name means "to surround" to "embrace" as along the river. When Satis identified with Isis, the Anuket is identified with Nephthys. She wears a tall, many-feathered African crown and carries a payrus scepter.
