Apis is, Not a God, the sacred bull of Memphis was reverted as a fertility symbol. On it's head appeared as a solar disk and uraeus. Variously associated of rites of Ptah, Osiris, Min and especially the Nile god Hapi. The Apis bull could be identified by a white crescent moon on its side, a white triangle on its head, a black lump under its tongue and a flying vulture on its back. Apis bulls were kept in sacred stables and used by the priests as oracles.
